Fake or Real Exercise – Top 5 Pole Fitness Routines

A few days ago we featured a brilliant video from the guys over at PeopleAreAwesome showing the incredible abilities of the human body.  Perhaps with our tongue firmly in our cheeks we suggested that that video contained “4 Extraordinary HIIT Exercise Candidates.

Now we find another extraordinary video from PeopleAreAwesome on the Top 5 Pole Fitness.  Normally this wouldn’t have been of interest – pole fitness doesn’t provide HIIT opportunities for the majority of people.  Given how good we thought the first video, we decided to take a look.

Initially we were blown away with the strength, poise and grace of all of these athletes.  That is until we looked a little closer.  Now we wonder if a few of these are fakes.

Fake Candidate #1

This guy is able to hold himself completely horizontal with very little sign of strain in his hands, arms or torso.  If you look at the video from around 0:35 – 0:45 you will see there is little, if any, movement of the pole as he changes position

Fake Candidate #2

Pole Fitness - 360 Degree Space Walk
Pole Fitness – 360 Degree Space Walk

While this might look similar to our first fake candidate this guy actually holds this horizontal position and ‘walks’ 360 degrees round the pole.  It looks amazing but there is again absolutely no sign of stress in hands, arms or in the pole.  Take a look at the video from around 0:48 to 1:03

Disclaimer

Here at the HIIT workout formula we know nothing about pole fitness.  We have certainly seen some incredible feats of strength and grace from pole athletes.  So we are not claiming that these routines are fake – merely that they look incredible enough to be faked.

Please do let us know if you know better.
