For many of us, an element of challenge or competition adds and extra edge to our exercise plans. The Hopkins County Family YMCA will be hosting a High Intensity Interval Training Challenge on Saturday, Aug. 22 to raise money for the 9/11 Heroes Run.
It’s for an excellent cause and could be just what you need to get you started on sculpting the body you want.
Hopkins County Family YMCA Hosting Heroes Run HIIT Challenge

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (8/12/15) — The Hopkins County Family YMCA will be hosting a High Intensity Interval Training Challenge on Saturday, Aug. 22 to raise money for the 9/11 Heroes Run.
The Challenge will run from 9 to 11 a.m. and is open to all fitness levels, as modifications will be provided. Participants may come and go as they please. A minimum donation of $10 is appreciated to participate and all $10-plus donations will receive entry into a drawing for numerous door prizes from area businesses.
The Heroes Run HIIT Challenge will include, but not limited to: high intensity cardio training, super sets Tabata style, push-ups, burpees, mountain climbers, body weight strength training exercises, and cardio drills. High Intensity Interval Training is simple and torches calories.
All proceeds raised will be donated to the 9/11 Heroes Run–Madisonville which splits funds between the Travis Manion Foundation and the Patrick Rudd Project. The HIIT Challenge is a great way to test your fitness level and raise money for our heroes.
