Day 1 Progress

Day 1 is all about getting started. Proving to yourself that you really are going to do this challenge.

There is no merit in pushing hard right from the start. Took it easy for the morning sessions. It was surprising to already be able to feel the strain for the 3rd set at 2pm. I used to do a lot more Push Ups and though I was fitter than that. The spaced, repeated sets of push ups seems to make it more difficult.

The slight twinge in the left tricep, just above the elbow was not welcome so early into the challenge. Had to take it really easy in the afternoon session and so didn’t make the 100 target. No problem – plenty of time to catch up.

I did treat the tricep with the percussion massager my son bought for me. I had never heard of these but a quick google showed there were lots available online.
